Abstract:

The phenomenon of sand production may occur in a small volume to a large extent.Especially for reservoirs where there are large variations in tensions, high rates of oil extraction, water in subterranean formations, or the collapse of the walls of drilled wells [4-7].Therefore, in the present study, well logs are used to predict the production of sand from one of the oil wells in southern Iran. For this purpose, with the use of common petrophysical logs including audio log, the elastic modulus of the rock and the uniaxial compressive strength, and then the pore volume pressure were also calculated, and these values were calibrated with actual values.Since the determination of the amount of tensions at high depths was necessary to predict the production of wells, it was necessary to study the values obtained from elastic modulus, single-axial compressive strength and pore pressure, horizontal tensions and vertical stress Calculated. The data used in this study belong to the oil wells studied in the studied field. Data from these wells, including petrophysical such as density (RHOZ), neutron porosity (NPHI), audio (DT), resistivity (RT), gamma (GR), image watermarking audio bipolar (DSI), caliper (CAL), data MDT and core data.In this study, the points that this prediction showed for fractures has been experimentally investigated in the well. The results of the observations showed that in this well, for the predicted points in the wide shear fractures, the rocks were produced, namely the production of sand, and the packers were installed in place of these fractures to prevent the production of sand.
