Abstract:

In natural depletion process reservoir pressure decrease immediately and production rate reach its lowest economic level of production rate, so this process may leave a lot of hydrocarbon’s volume in fractured reservoirs. Increasing reservoir pressure as a IOR method is the first solution for extending reservoir life cycle, which is secondary production step; Furthermore, tertiary production step is launched in order to mobilize residual oil saturation. The third production step process is named EOR (Enhance Oil Recovery). In this article oil recovery in all the three steps of production for synthetic fractured and non-fractured reservoir are investigated. Water and gas injection are used for IOR, and ASP (Alkaline Surfactant Polymer) is chosen for EOR. After comparing essential parameters of reservoir rate and pressure in these three steps, gas injection for pressure maintenance concluded as the best method for fractured reservoir in this case. The ASP flooding utilized as EOR method in this study is not proper EOR method for fractured reservoir.
