Abstract:

The refinery industry as one of the largest industrial consumers of energy spends a lot of money on energy supply. During the refining processes, a large amount of gas and fuel will enter the atmosphere without use, directly and through flare. The burning of these gases in the flare, in addition to create environmental problems is also considered as the waste of economic resources. Refinery flare gases can be used using Small-scale DG and Flare Gas Recovery Systems (FGRS) and thus electrical energy can be generated using this method. This method not only can be used for the energy recovery, but the emissions of greenhouse gases, such as CO2, can be reduced by implementation of this project.
