Abstract:

In this paper we suggest a structure of Surface Plasmon Resonator (SPR) plasmonic sensor according to waveguide Metal-Dielectric-Metal with alike nanodisk cavitie. The performance of SPR sensors, role of resonance structure, physical properties, geometry parameters and variation in the refractive index will be investigated with numerical analysis Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD). Also results of numerical simulation, the linear relation between the resonance wavelength and the dielectric refractive index, sensitivity and the Figure of Merit (FOM) of the SPR sensor will be thoroughly analyzed. The SPR sensor which is suggested in this paper, has the simple geometry of structure ,high sensitivity and FOM and can utilized as refractive index sensor in the optical integrated circuits.
