Abstract:

BACKGROUND:Poly Cystic Ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most common endocrine disorder that has a wide prevalence to days . It is a reproductive and metabolic symptoms associated with an imbalance of reproductive hormones in women. One of the underlay factors associated with development of PCOS is increasing inflammation . inflammation can leads to enhance levels of androgen and imbalanced hormones.Probiotics are live microorganism which when administered in adequate amount offer a health benefit on host. probiotics can be used as a supplementation and food sources such as yogurt ,milk and miso.this review indicates that how probiotic supplements can effect on inflammatory reactions and biomarkers , and elevates the effect of probiotic supplements on clinical and immunological parameters of PCOS. METHODS:This systematic review is based on some articles from science direct and new journals in pubmed. These data are according to trials that were conducted on women with PCOS and measure of inflammatory factors such as IL_6 , IL_10, TNF_ α and high sensitivity C reactive protein (hs_CRP). Data from these studies indicate that there is a significant increase in IL_10 level in case group compared with control group .furthermore some studies show that there is no significant change in TNF_α levels. overall these data reveal that, it is a relation between probiotics supplementations and inflammatory reaction. So lactobacillus modulates inflammation via cytokines in PCOS Regarding the influence of probiotic supplementations on inflammation and metabolic disorders in recent studies its suggested that probiotic supplementations can improve clinical laboratory features of PCOS and it could be used as a treatment of PCOS.
