Background: Due to limited study about prevalence of happiness among Iranian middle-aged women; therefore, the aim of this study was to determine the level of happiness and as well as socio-demographic predictors of them among middle-aged women in Tabriz Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted in Tabriz City, Iran. Data were collected between December 2017 and February 2018 by face to face interviews, using a structured questionnaire. Participants were 40-60 year middle-aged women. The sample for this study consisted of 300 participants selected by clustered random sampling allocation Results: To find the predictors of happiness among the studied variables, multivariate linear regression was used. The happiness was found to be significantly higher among the married women and women with regular physical activity habits by (B: 9.77, CI (2.88 to 16.59, p< 0.005); (B: 5.03 CI (1.085 to 8.98, p< 0.013) times respectively Conclusion: Due to lack of middle aged women s happiness promotion programs at public health centers, putting such programs into practice at health centers can be a good starting point for improving women s mental health.
