Ecological approach to improving the environmental resilience of cities

Cities are interconnected and Complicated Systems which are very Vulnerable to natural and Human Threats. Resilience is an approach that Offers the power to cope with predictable threats. Resilient City Sustainable network of Physical and Environmental Systems and Human societies. Most metropolitan areas in the World have been troublesome that endanger human life Environmental Issues and such as Ari pollution, Water and Soil pollution and consequently Climate change. One of the tools make Environmentally friendly decisions is to increase the Ecological resilience level. Ecological thinking is evident in concepts such as Sustainable development and Sustainable cities. Urban Planning will be able to use Sustainable development Strategies forwarded the destruction of environmental resources in cities and using the ecological approach promoted environmental resilience in cities and Ultimately create a Resilient environment against natural and human hazards. The main objective of this paper is to examine the Ecological approach and the resulting theories as well as to provide Ecological Sustainability indicators that are proportional to increasing Urban environmental Sustainability. The Overall conclusion of this study is to suggest, Urban managers can consider Ecological approaches as a good way to improve the level of environmental Resilience, Especially in environmental Issues.
