EXECUTION MODEL OF HIGH SPEED LINES IN SPAIN

As a highly experienced engineering company, Saitec holds a prominent position in the development of the Spanish High-Speed Rail (HSR) Network. Saitec has taken part in the study and design (feasibility study, preliminary, conceptual, scheme and detailed design), construction (site works supervision) and project management of numerous sections of the high speed lines. Since early plans for implementation of high speed lines in Spain, Saitec has signed 55 contracts for HSR resulting in over 60 million Euros in turn over.According to the Sixth Development Plan of Iran, development of railway networks especially high speed lines is a key priority of the Iranian government. Last year we visited the Third International Rail Expo in Iran and we discovered great interest in the development of high speed lines. Having now established our office in Iran, we are fully prepared to draw our extensive experience in engineering of high speed lines in order to seize this opportunity in Iran’s railway sector, starting with the method of design and construction.In this article, we first provide a general overview of the high speed lines in Spain. Then we highlight the reason behind our focus on this type of transportation. After that we will concentrate on the sector organization and our method of executing this type of projects which has been one of the most successful methods in the development of high speed network in the world.Given that Iran is at the outset of high speed rail network development, we hope to enable for efficient design and construction method using our extensive experience and specialized expertise in this kind of transportation.
