Abstract:
Coumarin derivatives were transformed to new compounds of aldehyde groups with selenium dioxide as an oxidizing agent. So has been oxidation production transformed to new compounds of imines groups through a condensation reaction with p-toluidine. The next step is the use of nanoparticles MgO by a multi-component reaction of 4-formyl-7-substituted coumarin, p-toluidine as amine (type I), under microwave assisted organic synthesis (MAOS) methods. The MAOS method is more effective on synthesizing these compounds than the conventional method in regard to the higher chemical yields of products (76%―98%) and the shorter reaction time (1―15 min). Atom economy, wide range of products, high catalytic activity, excellent yields in short reaction times, are some of the advantages of this method
