Development in structural systems, construction technologies and analytical methods for analysis and design assisted the growth of high rise buildings .structural design of high rise buildings is usually governed by lateral loads due to wind. Lateral load resistance is one of the most important parts of structural design of tall buildings. There are many structural systems which are used for tall buildings such as rigid frame systems, core systems, frame tube systems, shear wall systems and etc. in the last two decades diagrid system is one of the most widely used systems due to its structural efficiency and its distinguished aesthetic potential. This paper studied structural performance of diagrid systems employed for 60 story tall buildings. A regular floor plan 36m×36m size is considered. ETABS software is used for modeling and analysis of structural members. Dynamic along wind and across wind are considered for analysis of the structure. analysis of 60 story diagrid structure with different module size, different inclined column spacing and different angle of diagonal members is carried out. Comparison of analysis results in terms of time period, top story displacement and inter-story drift is presented in this paper. From the study it was observed that as the inclined column spacing is increased, top story displacement is increased And also it was concluded that diagrid structure with equal inclined column spacing and different module size, diagrid structure with module size=8m has best performance compared to other module sizes.
