The paper discusses the concept of speaking skills as a means of effective communication and some factorswhich influence Iranian EFL students’ oral fluency, and also helps design some effective ways to provide every chanceto force students to speak English. We try to analyze the difficulties in doing listening and speaking exercisesfocusing on Real Listening & Speaking textbook. Real Listening & Speaking presents different kinds of listeningand speaking tasks in order to improve two skills (listening and speaking). Moreover, we discovered difficulties inspeaking of undergraduate students that helped us to find the ways of improving students’ abilities to listen to authenticmaterials and apply them in communication. Problems in speaking were taken from the results of questionnaire.Students’ questionnaire determined various activities in practice. The result of our study showed that different creativeactivities in English classes motivate students to help develop speaking skills in the EFL English language classroom.
