Today, the tourism industry is considered as the main base of sustainable development, considering its important economic, social, cultural and environmental impacts. One of the main problems of the tourism industry in Iran is the government ownership and management of the industry. However, in recent decades, the trend to liberal market and reduction of government intervention in the economy has been strengthened, Due to the ineffectiveness of state-owned units and problems related to the administration of these units, such as spending time and energy on the affairs of state-owned companies, subsidies granted to these units, lack of competition among government executives, and ... . Surely, the successful implementation of privatization is not limited by the privatization law and the transfer of ownership from the state sector to the private sector, but it requires the recognition of the legal aspects of privatization and compliance with the requirements set forth in this article. Effective laws and regulations, enforcement of these regulations, clear and transparent privatization policies, the existence of appropriate control and monitoring systems, and the creation of a fair competition environment are needed to privatization has achieved its goals.
