Abstract:

Ampicillin is a type of antibiotic used for treatment of digestive and uric infections, improvement in qualitative of drug delivery system and to reduce toxicity of ampicillin drug is significantly attractiveness [1-3]. In this work, first loading of ampicillin on mesoporous carbon nanocarrier was done by simple, cheap and efficient method. The results of ultra violet and visible spectroscopy (UV-Vis) showed that amount of ampicillin loaded on mesoporous carbon is about 70%. The different parameters such as pH, time and ratio of ampicillin to mesoporous carbon was optimized in loading of ampicillin. pH=7.00, time 1h and ratio of 1:1 ampicillin to mesoporous carbon was selected as optimized condition. Moreover, loading of ampicillin on mesoporous carbon was investigated by infrared spectroscopy (IR), scanning electronic microscope (SEM), Raman spectroscopy, and thermal analysis. The spectra and images of these methods confirmed presence of ampicillin on mesoporous carbon. The results of this work showed that mesoporous carbon can be efficient nanaocarrier in drug delivery system of ampicillin.
