خلاصه مقاله:
Composite laminates, due to the high strength to their density and directional properties are commonly used in different engineering structures. Moreover, energy absorption of the structures subjected to the impact loading is an important matter. On the other hand, to optimal design of the composite structures, the stacking sequence has an important role. Thus, in this study, considering the gap of the literature, the effects of fiber angle orientation on the energy absorption of the Glass-Epoxy laminates are investigated using Charpy impact test. The energy absorption of different layups is compared. The results show that although 45 degrees plies improve the energy absorption of glass-epoxy laminates under shear loading, however, the effects of zero degrees unidirectional ply is highlighted under tensile loading.
