Abstract:

IntroductionChronic viral hepatitis is a major cause of cirrhosis that is responsible for a most of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Antiviral medication is an effective choice to prevent decompensated liver disease. Due to the several adverse events of current medication like the administration route and duration, there is hope to advanced medical treatment, still much knowledge is needed in this direction and the disease is progressive though.ObjectiveThe complete cure of the infection is a main goal but it is complex and still not possible. To date, there are no studies evaluating the resistant of the differentiated liver cells on HBV in an infected patient. Methods & ResultsIndeed, advanced technology focus on cell and tissue-based therapy which most clinical trials have been used. But, it is still unclear if the alternative cells are infected Advanced therapy like drug delivery, cell and tissue targeting have the potential role in reducing infections, increasing the effectiveness of drugs and interventions, thus alleviate the severity of the disease. The development of therapies aimed at HBsAg loss, replacing the resisted cells and/or stem cells to HBV, which is happened by advanced technology like gene editing.ConclusionAlthough it is still in its early stages, there is no doubt that cirrhosis can be reversed by regenerative medicine will return the lesion to a completely normal liver if the underlying cause of liver injury is eliminated. Research is required to identify future directions, including the potential of gene editing, to eliminate of source of injury, cirrhosis reversibility and, ultimately, to improve the patient s quality of life.
