خلاصه مقاله:
A computational model was developed for studying the flow field heat transfer and particle deposition in a human airway system, including: nasal cavity, nasopharynx, oropharynx, larynx, trachea and main bronchus. A Computerized tomography (CT scan) images taken from an adult woman was used to construct the 3D model. A flow rate of 30 L/min in 100 degree of Celsius was applied at nostrils in order to specify burn injury locations. The results show that nostril, nasal cavity and nasopharynx are damaged more than other part of airway. The Lagrangianapproach is used, to find the trajectories of microparticles in order to targeted drug-aerosol delivery. The results show the particles in aerodynamic diameter greater than 10 m for air flow of 30 L/min are desired rage of particle diameters
