effect of nurses support and educational care on the quality of life of women with breast cancer referring to Omid Hospital in Mashhad in 2018

Introduction&Aim:Breast cancer is the most common cancer among Iranian women.The survival rate of breast cancer patients has been prolonged,resulting in longer exposure to cancer and its complications including radiotherapy.Therefore a research aimed at investigating the effect of nursing support and care education on quality The life of patients with breast cancer who referred to Omid Hospital in Mashhad for radiation therapy was conducted in 2018 Methods:Aquasi-experimental study was conducted in which 50 patients with breast cancer were selected and their educational support program was evaluated.The questionnaire for demographic information and written consent was completed bypatients.Thequality of lifequestionnaire,includingpsychological,physical and spiritual aspects,was completed in two stages before the program,and then three months later by patients,information was obtained using the software 16 Spss And analyzed by statistical tests Results:The results of the paired t-test showed that the score of people from quality of life in the post-test was increased by an average of 9.73 in comparison with the pre-test.The test statistic in this case was 6.25 with 49 degrees Freedom and the level of significance of the test is approximately equal to 0.000.Before the implementation of the training, the average quality of life of the units was 50.63 with a standard deviation of19.07and after performing the training,59/32 with a standard deviation of 22.36.Three months after the intervention,the quality of life in general and in four dimensions were significantly improved Conclusion:Nurses can play an important role by providing educational and support services to improve the quality of life of breast cancer patients .
