Abstract:

Introduction: Breast as a female s organs is an important part of the body of the woman, then any abnormalities in the breast can lead to negative effects on body image and quality of life. Objective: To determine the effect of spirituality education on quality of life and body image of chemotherapy in breast cancer patients.Method: This study is a clinical trial. That 87 patients with breast cancer underwent chemotherapy in Ahvaz hospitals were selected based on criteria included .After Qualified and matched specimens were randomly divided into two experimental and control groups. The questionnaire was first used at the beginning of chemotherapy and after 4 courses of chemistry (chemotherapy, chemotherapy, chemotherapy, chemotherapy, chemotherapy, the treatment was completed by face-to-face interviews. Data was analyzed and analyzed using SPSS22 software. Results: There was a significant decrease in quality of life in the control group after the 4th cycle of chemotherapy (P = 0.0001). In the experimental group, despite the reduction in mean scores in terms of dimensions Quality of life was not statistically significant (P = 0.07). There was a statistically significant difference in the relationship between self and body between the two groups (P = 0.0001). Conclusion: The results indicate a positive effect of spiritual training in improving the quality of life and body image. Therefore, it is recommended according to the patient s cultural background and belief in the patient education, care and treatment to be given the key factor positive.
