خلاصه مقاله:
Introduction: Using varicose socks as well as lower limb massage have beneficial effects in preventing DVT, but none of them has been able to catch it to zero. Therefore, the present study aimed to investigate the effects of varicose veins with and without lower limb massaging to minimize the risk of developing DVT. Methods: In this clinical trial, 70 patients with DVT susceptible were selected through random sampling method and observing entry and exit criteria were randomly assigned to two groups A(Varicose Veins+Lower Massage Socks) and B (Varicose Socks). During the chemotherapy, all patients used varicose syringes for 6 hours a day, and the group received massage at a daily rate of 2 hours. The mean of the probability of DVT was measured on the basis of caprini criteria before, after intervention and between the two groups and compared with the Mann-Whitney U test. Results: There was no significant difference between the mean scores of the two groups before the intervention (P=0.012). However, after intervention, women in group A had a significantly lower probability of developing DVT than women in group B. (P=0.0001)Conclusion: Concomitant use of varicose veins and lower limb massage in women with susceptible DVT has a beneficial effect on breast cancer under chemotherapy, but has not been able to reduce its probability to zero.
