Abstract:
Among the palladium-catalyzed cross coupling reactions, the Suzuki-Miyaura reaction whichis coupling between aryl, vinyl or alkyl halides or pseudohalides and organoboron reagents isone of the most noteworthy and comprehensively protocolsfor the construction of carboncarbonbonds. The products of this reaction have been widely used for the synthesis of pharmaceuticalscompounds, natural products and agrochemicals [1]. The most common catalyticsystem utilized for C–C coupling reaction is promoted by homogeneous palladium complexes. The accurate selection of the ligand is the key and important factor for the synthesis ofthese complexes [2]. Chalcogen containing ligands haveattracted considerable attention due totheir much less insensitivity to air and moisture, strong electron-donating ability of the chalcogendonor site, solubility in diverse solvents and stability in solution, which make them currentlyimportant and suitable for designing Pd-complexes for catalyzing of C–C coupling reactions[3]. In the present study, the Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticlesmodified bySiO2/aminopropyl triethoxy silane (Fe3O4@SiO2-APTS) utilized for anchoring a moistureandair-stable organoselenium-palladium complex (Fe3O4@SiO2-Se-T/Pd(II)) and applied asan efficient and retrievable catalyst in Suzuki-Miyaura cross coupling reaction (Fig. 1). Thewide substrate scope, high yield, short reaction time, simple separation of the catalysts fromreaction mixture and more importantly, the longevity of nanocatalyst for at least four consecutiveruns without a discernible decrease in its activity are the main merits of this protocol.
