Abstract:

Functionalized nanomagnetic catalysts represent paramount characteristics such as high surfaceto volume ratios, high surface energies, enhanced dispersion, high catalytic performance,easy recoverability, and reusing without loss of their catalytic activity which these parametersmake them versatile apparatus in the different fields of science [1-2]. Among the functionalizedpyridine systems, 2-amino-3-cyano pyridine derivatives are prevalent. 2-Amino-3-cyanopyridines are versatile intermediates towards the synthesis of varied heterocyclic moleculessuch as vitamins [3]. In this study, we have reported the synthesis and catalytic application ofa novel magnetically separable catalyst at the preparation of amino-3-cyano pyridines via vinylogousanomeric based oxidation (Figure 1).
