The Effect of Different Pollen Spath of a Date Palm on Fruit Characteristic of Kabkab Cultivar

This experiment was conducted to evaluation the effect of different pollen spath of a date palm on fruit characteristic of kabkab cultivar grown in dashtestan zone. The present study showed variation in kabkab date fruit as affected by different pollen spath of a tree. Using pollen of early ripening spath showed better effect where gave high quality of kabkab date fruits compared to pollen of mid and late ripening spath. Also, using early ripening pollen resulted to high drop and rutab fruit percentage, Khalal length and weight, seed length and rutab weight. Also, late ripening pollen showed highest green fruit, lowest sis and rutab fruit.
