Procedures of erecting the overhead contact lines in the Lötschberg base tunnel

Challenge: the installation required an extensive special vehicle and machinery outfit as tunnel, a total of 55.2 kilometers of tracks have been erected and equipped with a catenary system. The construction of the overhead contact system was a logistic within the scope of the rail engineering project for the 34.6 km long Lötschberg base well as outstanding installation methods
