Abstract:

This paper presents a leader-follower configuration for considering the yearly maintenance scheduling of power generators under economic and reliability criteria based on the bi-level programming approach. Each generator schedules its own unit’s maintenance periods with aim tomaximize its net profit in the upper level by considering independent system operator (ISO) considerations as the lower level. The Karush-Kuhn-Tuker (KKT) conditions are applied to achieve the single level counterpart of the proposed model. Finally, some computational results areanalyzed, and applicable managerial insights are obtained according to the sensitivity analysis
