Evaluation of water coning, necessities and nonnecessities in human and environment health protection

Now a days the environment pollution and the risks resulted from increase in pollution loads as a result of technology and industry, have affected the human societies and also have made them worry, increasingly. Among these, the water sources pollution by the means of waters produced along with oil containing various poisonous materials, is some problem that could impose noncompensable damages into human and environment health, if no solution discovered. And according to the increasing improvement in such industry at the country and given that normally during the time and by several reasons such as water conning in reservoir, water production in a well is increasing, considering necessary appliances in order to decrease such damages and prevention is getting more and more important. This paper, at first, introduces the evolution of coning as one of the most important factors in oil related water production and then investigates the importance of this subject, specially, in Iran. Then some solutions are introduced to prevent production and also to improve the charactristics of water produced and the membrane methods are recommended as a solution to minimize the damages resulted from these wastes and finally the results of experiment on the sample of water produced in one of oil fields in west of Iran are represented and these results are compared with similar experiments on water sample produced in Canada. According to such results, it seems that membrane methods are proper items to infiltrate these wastes.
