Abstract:

Introduction: The aim of current study was to investigate neuropsychological disorders, including processing speed, perceptional reasoning, verbal comprehension in children with dysgraphia and normal ones.Method: The current study was causal-comparative and its statistical population included all students in Shiraz schools as well as the students, suffering dysgraphia in educational centers for learning disabilities. A sample of 60 people, including 30 dysgraphia students (15 girls and 15 boys) and 30 normal students (18 girls and 12 boys) was selected through available sampling and was investigated using subtests of coding, picture completion and verbal reasoning of WISC-4. The obtained data were analyzed using one-way analysis of variance.Results: The results, using one-way analysis of variance, showed that the girls and boys with learning disabilities were weaker than normal group in terms of subtests of coding, picture completion and verbal reasoning (P<0.05).Discussion: The obtained findings show that the girls and boys with learning disabilities were weaker than normal group in terms of subtests of coding, picture completion and verbal reasoning, indicating their weakness in processing speed, perceptional reasoning and verbal comprehension
