Abstract:
The aim of this paper is represented design and manufacturing process of lattice boom crane of 480 tons capacity. In order to design the structure and components of lattice boom crane, static, dynamic and wind loads were calculated and material of main structure were selected according to the available material in Iran. This scrap crane has not hoisting and main structures (boom, mast, jib...), and it was not use for 40 years after setup in south of Iran. All structures and hoisting system were designed and manufactured according to FEM standard for crane design. Manitowoc (Hercules) crane are used for lifting heavy machineries and marine structures.
