Abstract:

Introduction: Breast masses are classified into two types of benign and malignant. The possibility of cancer is a major concern for patients with breast mass; however, the majority of these masses are benign. Given the significance and clinical importance of malignant tumors in the life and longevity of an individual, societies must be provided with the latest information and epidemiological status. In this regard, the present study was conducted to provide a comprehensive review of the prevalence of ductal carcinoma among different pathologies of breast masses in Iranian women.Methods: The methods used in this systematic review were developed in accordance with the PRISMA checklist instructions . Cross-sectional, case control, and cohort studies were included in this research, and the case series, letter to editors, case reports, clinical trials, study protocols, systematic reviews, and narrative reviews were excluded.Results: According to the results from the random effects model, the total Prevalence of ductal carcinoma among different pathologies of breast masses in Iranian women was 85.7% (95% confidence interval [CI]: 84.5, 86.9, I2=97. 2).Discussion:Breast mass is important because it increases the possibility of breast cancer when the subjects get old. Breast cancer is one of the most common complaints of women as well as patients who are later diagnosed with breast cancer.
