The Effect of IL-17 (rs2275913G> A) Polymorphism on Breast Cancer in Iranian Azari Women

Background and Objective: breast cancer is the most prevalent cancer and the major cause of death from cancer in women. The vast majority of breast cancer begin in the pats of the breast tissue that are made up of Glands for milk production, called lobules, and ducts that connect the lobules to the nipple. The remainder of the breast is made up of fat, connective tissue and lymphatic built. The objective of this study was investigate the association between breast cancer and polymorphisms in IL-17 rs2275913G> A genes in Iranian Azari women.Material &methods: This study is an association study with a case-control design. The study participants consisted of 50 women with RPL from (Project Report Form-RPL) Iranian Azeri Turkish origin. The control group comprised 50 age and ethnically matched healthy women in the reproductive age. Genomic DNA was extracted from the whole blood and genotype determinations were performed using PCR amplification follow by restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) analysis.Results: No significant association was indicated between rs763780T> C and breast cancer among Iranian Azari Turkish women. But in other alleles, especially A, it was thoughtful.Conclusion: patients with the A allele of rs2275913 had increased risk of breast cancer among Iranian Azari Turkish. So detection and identification of alleles involved in the development of cancer seems to be among the most important factors for prevention and treatment.
