Abstract:

Introduction: vit D is a steroid hormone that mediates numerous actions in the body,Although there has been little research on the relationship between vitamin D status and risk of breast cancer, some evidence links higher vitamin D status to a reduced risk of cancers. However, some results have been conflicting. The aim of this paper was to synthesize the evidence about effects of vit D on breast cancer. Method: This is a review article from19articles using keywords:vit D,cancer, breast cancer published in PubMed,science direct and…,between 2015-2019 that all of them include criteria evidence level1. Finding:Most previous studies of vitamin D status in relation to breast cancer risk show.Higher levels were associated with lower risk in a number of case-control studies.a significant inverse association was observed between 25(OH)D levels and overall breast cancer risk, but some study found no association between 25(OH)D levels and overall breast cancer risk. However, some findings suggest that vitamin D may have a greater impact on ER+ breast cancer through attenuation of estrogen signaling and synthesis. conclusion:data from this large prospective study suggest that women who have low predicted 25(OH)D have a greater risk of breast cancer relative to those who have sufficiently high levels.
