Abstract:
The present study aimed at investigating the role of life scripts based on the view of Transactional Analysis in women with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).The method employed in this qualitative research was the case study. The statistical population involved all the women with MS who lived in Isfahan. The participants were saturated by 10 through specifying the sample size. Data was collected via a semi-structured interview and data validity was determined by triangulation. Data analysis was based on the investigation of the explicit and hidden contents of the collected data by the use of manual encoding method. The findings revealed that 7 factors had effective roles in the emergence of MS. These factors were the life scripts of Don’t be well , Don’t grow up , Be strong , Don’t be a child , Don’t think , Don’t be important , and Try hard , respectively. Considering the fact that the three life scripts of Don’t be well , Don’t grow up , and Be strong had more significant roles, other factors such as the life scripts of Don’t be you , Don’t fell , Don’t succeed , Don t exist , Don’t do anything , Be perfect , Hurry up , and Please others played less important roles in this field.
