Abstract:

Densonucleosis viruses (DNVs) are remarkable factors for viral paratransgenesis because they are found in insects, including mosquitoes, can be genetically manipulated and are transmitted to future generations. There are many types of viral agents that cause disease in mosquitoes with most depending 4 major groups. The most common viruses of mosquitoes are the baculoviruses (NPVs) and cytoplasmic polyhedrosis viruses (CPVs). The other major types of viruses in mosquitoes are demonstrated by the ensoviruses (DNVs) and the iridoviruses (MIVs). Baculoviruses, densoviruses and iridoviruses are DNA viruses while cypoviruses are the main RNA viruses in mosquitoes. Paratransgenesis is the genetic manipulation of insect symbiotic microorganisms, is being considered as a potential method to control vector-borne diseases. The facility of paratransgenic malaria control has been limited due to the no candidate symbiotic agent for the main vectors in the world. In the other hand, Parvoviridae family are, non_enveloped and small viruses with linear, ssDNA genomes. In addition, so far Toxorhynchites amboinensis, Ae. Aegypti, Ae. Pseudoscutellaris, C. theilerei, Ae. Albopictus, Haemogogus equinus, C. pipiens, An. Minimus has been used to control mosquitoes in different regions. Today, one of the priorities is the use of paratransgenic methods to control of vector-born disease that viruses are a very good candidate, and because the mosquito infestation to densoviruses has not been studied in Iran, so attention to this issue can be considered in future studies
