خلاصه مقاله:
Background: Entomological survillance is important due to presence and density of the different mosquito species. This investigation help us to determine the behaviour of the vectors of malaria, Dengue Fever, Chickengunia and Zika Vius.Materials and Methods: This study was carried out from March 2018 until late September 2019 after selecting fixed sampling sites including: Mehr Abad Airport (35.68° N, 51.31° E), Iran Air Airline (35.69° N, 51.31° E), Gharb Customs (35.67° N, 51.23° E) and Tehran Customs (35.67° N, 51.25° E). The location coordinates of the sampling sites were mark and registered with a Global Positioning System (GPS) device, and mapped using ArcMap 10.5 software. In this study, mosquito larvae and pupae were collected from the observed larval habitats and 60 standard ovitraps. Collected samples were reared in Aedes insectary, Department of Medical Entomology and vector control, School of Public Health and Tehran University of Medical Sciences. Then they were mounted and identified using morphological keys. Results: Generally, 2620 specimens were identified comprises; Culex pipiens Linnaeus, Cx. theileri Theobald and Culiseta longiareolata Macquart. Culex pipiens with 82% was the most abundant species. Conclusion: This is the first mapping study in western Tehran for predicting areas with the possible presence of Aedes species. A mapping study by using geographic information system are suggested in other neighboring provinces of TehranObjectives: The objective of this study was to monitor the presence of Aedes mosquitos at the points of entry of western Tehran city
