Abstract:
The Tuta absoluta (Meyrick) is one of the most important tomato pests in the world, which adds a significant amount of damage to the product in terms of its quality and quantity. There are several ways to control this pest. The aim of this experiment is to investigate the effect of cholesterol oxidase enzyme on Tuta absoluta eggs at 6 concentrations (2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 ℳL) at 25 ± 2 ° C, relative humidity of 65 ± 5, and brightness: darkness period of 16: 8. The results indicate that this enzyme has a high potential for egg at LC50 = 7.97 ℳL and can be effective in controlling Tuta absoluta. Protein compositions break down earlier in nature, less toxic for humans and mammals, and have less harmful effects on the environment.
