Abstract:

Successful project managers use scheduling as a useful control tool for measuring and monitoring their project. A timetable that has been updated correctly during the project implementation will enable the contractor and the employer to measure and follow the progress of the project at different times. In the event that only scheduling is considered, but the resource constraints are not taken into account, in some cases it will waste time or money. Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM) is a method for planning and managing projects as its main focus on resources needed to carry out project tasks. This method is in contrast to conventional methods taken from critical path methods, and their emphasis is only on the ordering of activities and scheduling. In this research, the CCPM method was used in the Kahir dam construction project. These analyzes were also measured by time and financial methods. The results were consistent with the expectation of non-violation of the maximum resources. Also, the use of floating time reduced 27-day operation time.
