Abstract:
Background and Aim : The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between attachment styles and cognitive avoidance with temptation in self-administered addicts in Taibad.Methods : The research method was descriptive-correlational. The statistical population of this study consisted of all male addict men who had a history of abandonment referring to self-reliant drug addiction centers under the supervision of the Welfare Organization of Taibad in 1397 in 130 people. Randomly clustered 60 people were selected and tested. For collecting the data, a questionnaire of Sexton & Douglas Cognitive Avoidance Questionnaire (2004), Collins & Reid s Attachment Styles Questionnaire (1990) and Temptation Questionnaire by Fadardi, Barafran and Ziaee (2008). Results : It turned out The results of the study showed that attachment styles (with the exception of ambivalent / anxiety style) and cognitive avoidance are tempted. Conclusion : The effect of safe and avoidant attachment styles was significant on temptation
