RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN BRAIN BEHAVIOURAL ACTIVATION SYSTEMS AND FRUSTRATION INTOLERANCE WITH MOBILE ADDICTION IN STUDENTS

Abstract:

Background and Aim : Addiction is one of the major problems in different societies. Today, addiction of the technology especially mobile has become a modern addiction among the adolescences and the young adults. Thus, the aim of this study was investigation the relationship between brain behavioral activation systems and frustration intolerance with mobile addiction in students.Methods : The method of this research was correlation. The statistical society of this research is 120 high school students in different grades and majors that were chosen by available sampling. They answered to Jenaro’s Mobile dependency inventory (2009), Harington s Frustration Discomfort Scale (2005), and Carver and White brain behavioral activation systems tests (1994). The data were analyzed by SPSS 24 software and Pearson coefficient.Results : The research indicated that emotional intolerance, entitlement intolerance, discomfort intolerance and achievement intolerance have a positive relationship with mobile addiction. Also, there is a negative relationship between brain behavioral activation systems (drive, responding to reward, searching hobbies) with mobile addiction.Conclusion : According to the findings, more intolerance of failure and less the sensitivity of the behavioral activation system is associated with more the mobile addiction that showed the main role of these factors in mobile addiction.
