Abstract:

Background and Aim : Human life is associated with extensive changes in social, cultural and fiscal fields. The situation leads to more social threats and problems in the developing countries. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between drug dependency and crime commitment tendency among the juveniles during 2017-18. Theoretical framework included social learning theory of Sutherland and Bandura as well as Cohen’s delinquency theory. Statistical community was all juveniles in the centre during a 3-months period of time. Amongst the group 120 persons were selected via Cochrane s formula. With respect to the diversity of delinquency among the children, a classified method of sampling was applied which finally 3 subgroups of stealing, wickedness and homicide stratified. Research instrument was a 36-items questionnaire which was confirmed in terms of validity and reliability via methods of content and test-retest respectively. Research design was survey and correlational. The gathered data was analysed by ANOVA and central tendency indexes. Findings showed significant differences between stealing group in comparison with the others. There was also non-significant relationship between drug dependency and homicide. Methods : .
