Abstract:

Background and Aim : The purpose of this study was to investigate the cognitive-behavioral effect on the loneliness of children with addicted fathers.Methods : The method of this quasi-experimental study and the design used in this study are two groups of pre-test post-test. The statistical population of this study included all elementary school students referred to educational counseling centers in Shahrekord, who have a father s addiction record. Sampling method: In the selection stage, it was available at random and in the insertion step. First, 40 students of the sample group aged 10 to 13 years were selected from the Education Counseling Center in 1397 and then randomly divided into two groups of 20 and the experimental group according to the design package They were interviewed in 8 cognitive-behavioral sessions. The research instrument was a questionnaire of Asher s loneliness questionnaire. The reliability of these tools was confirmed by Cronbach s Alpha method.Results : Data were analyzed using multivariate covariance analysis. The results of the statistical analysis showed that by removing the effect of the pre-test variable, the research hypothesis confirms the significant difference in the loneliness of the children in the experimental group compared to the control group.Conclusion : Cognitive-behavioral therapy causes the child to express emotions and outsourcing, as well as develops tendencies, communication skills, and increases the happiness and adaptability of children with addicted fathers to their surroundings, thereby reducing loneliness.
