Abstract:

Background and Aim : The aim of this study was to the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral therapy based on mindfulness on social and emotional loneliness, tolerance of ambiguity and tolerance of emotional distress in methadone-treated Addicts. Methods : The research method was pre-test and post-test for a group. The statistical population of this study consisted of all pre-test and post-test addicts in gorgan city, which consisted of 30 pre-test and post- Methadone treatment was selected through targeted sampling. Data collection tools included of cognitive-behavioral therapy based on mindfulness Protocol, Emotional Distress Tolerance Questionnaire, Social-Emotional Loneliness Scale, and MacLean Type II Obstacle Tolerance Questionnaire; the intervention was performed on the experimental group according to the cognitive-behavioral protocol based on mind-awareness during 10 sessions of 60 minutes. The data were analyzed using t-dependent (paired) methodResults : The findings showed that behavioral cognitive therapy was effective on the feeling of solitude, social tolerance, ambiguity and tolerance of emotional distress in drug addicts treated with methadone. Data were analyzed using paired t-test. The findings showed that in the two periods of time before and after treatment between romantic loneliness (0.000), feeling of loneliness in the family (0.000), feeling of social loneliness (0.003), feeling of social and emotional loneliness (000/0), tolerance of ambiguity (0.029), emotional tolerance (0.016), emotional attraction (0.025), emotional evaluation (0.006), emotional regulation (0.001) and tolerance of emotional distress (0.012) showed a significant difference with respect to the average indexConclusion : According to the results, emotional topics and social support in treatment in the long run is highly evaluate by therapists in the field of addiction and can be considered as a crucial determinant in non-recurrence.
