Background and Aim : The purpose of this study was to explain the effectiveness of methodological cognitive-behavioral education on communication beliefs and familial interactions among addicts. Methods : The research method was experimental design with pre-test and post-test design. To analyze the data obtained from the questionnaires, one-variable covariance analysis (ANCOVA) and multivariate covariance analysis (MANCOVA) with soft aid SPSS software was used. Results : The statistical population of this study included all addicts referring to Ilam abortion centers in 1394, 40 of whom (a group of 20 people as a group and one group of 20 people as control group) were selected as the sample. Data were gathered through a questionnaire of communication beliefs and McMaster s Family Measurement Questionnaire. Conclusion : The results of this study showed that the sessions of behavioral methodological education had an impact on the improvement of addict s communication beliefs (α <0.01). Also, sessions of methodological cognitive-behavioral education improved the components of communication beliefs in addicts (α <0.01). On the other hand, sessions of methodological cognitive-behavioral education have an impact on the improvement of family interactions and its components (α <0.01).
