Abstract:
Background and Aim : The purpose of present study was to investigate the Effectiveness of Mindfulness training on Cognitive Performance in Mobile Dependent. Methods : The present study was a quasi-experimental study (with pre-test and post-test with control group). A sample of 62 students from Kerman Bahonar University were selected randomly. The intervention group received 8 training sessions on Mindfulness Skills. While the control group only received general information about the incidence of excessive use of mobile phones. All participants completed the General Decision Making Style Questionnaire (GDMS) and Self-Control scale(SCMS). Results : Mindfulness training has a significant effect on decision-making styles. It increases the likelihood of rational and intuitive decisions and reduces the likelihood of dependent, immediate, and avoidable styles. Also, mindfulness education can increase self-control. Conclusion : Mindfulness-based interventions can be used as an effective intervention to enhance cognitive function, including decision-making styles and self-control. Considering the increase in the mobile dependent. it is suggested that Mindfulness training is considered as an accessible and effective intervention in addictive behaviors.
