Abstract:

Background and Aim : One of the most important high-risk groups referring to counseling centers for drug-related behavioral illnesses Are drug consumers. The aim of this study was to investigate epidemiologic addiction among volunteers to the Sanandaj Counseling Center for Behavioral Diseases for conducting an HIV test in 1397.Methods : In this cross-sectional study conducted in Kurdistan Province in 1397,The data from the national health care system registered in the country s HIV / AIDS surveillance program was used. All new counseling cases that were referred to the Counseling Center for Referral Behavioral Counseling Centers in Kurdistan Province in 1397 for the purpose of carrying out an HIV test were reviewed. In cases where there was a defect in the recorded data, using a telephone call with the referring people, The data was completed.Data analysis was performed using SPSS the version 22 software.Results : Except for pregnant women who were referred to the Behavioral Disease Advice Center for a Mother-to-Child HIV / AIDS Prevention Program screening test, During the year 1397, 636 individuals volunteered to refer to the Referral Behavioral Counseling Center, 391 (61%) of whom were male and 245 (39%) women. Of these, about 16% of the volunteers had a history of addiction and the remaining 84% were due to reasons (insecure sexual contact, occupational and non-occupational exposure, etc.), 13% had a history of imprisonment, 5% had a history of injection, 3% had a history of joint infusion. Of these (636) volunteers, 22 (3.5%) had positive HIV tests. Of whom 54% had a history of addiction and 31% had a history of injection.Conclusion : According to the results of this study, one of the most important risk factors for HIV is the addiction debate, and in particular drug addiction. It is necessary to pay attention to the issue of sexual transmission, Harm reduction programs in the group of addicts, especially injecting drug users, are also being pursued more seriously in Iran s health care system.
