Abstract:

Background and Aim : Addiction is one of the most worrisome injuries in any society that has major consequences such as loneliness, which is important in identifying the factors that affect it. Therefore, the aims of this study to predict loneliness based on early maladaptive schemas in people with addiction In the Urumia city in 2019. Methods : This research is descriptive-correlative. The statistical population of the study includes all addicted people referred to addiction treatment clinics in Urmia. Through the available sampling method, 120 addicted men were selected as the research sample and completed Yang s maladaptive schemas and loneliness UCLA questionnaires. Results : The showed that there are a positive relation between loneliness with early maladaptive schemas include emotional inhibition, dependence/ incompetence, emotional deprivation, isolation, enmeshment/ undeveloped, subjugation, mistrust abuse (p < 0.01) and self- sacrifice, failure, punitivnce (p < 0.01) . Also, the variables of the study were able to predict % 44 present of addicted individuals loneliness.Conclusion : According to the results, it can be said that maladaptive schemas are one of the important factors in the creation and continuation of loneliness in addicted people, which can help to change the schemas and change the loneliness of addicts.
