Abstract:

Background and Aim : In this research, the effectiveness of group psychotherapy based on acceptance and commitment to reduce temptation and non-return to substance use in patients referred to Tc treatment centers was investigated.Methods : The survey population includes all drug users who have been referred to TC centers in 1397 under the supervision of the welfare of Fars province. The research method: 30 people were chosen after the clinical interview. 15 subjects in the control group and 15 in the test group were taken. Then, from both groups, the mmpi test and the Industrial drugs Temptation Questionnaire were taken. In the next 8 sessions, a 45-minute treatment group based on acceptance and commitment with the experimental group was practiced and no intervention was performed for the control group. After the end of the sessions, both groups were re-enrolled with mmpi and the Temptation of Industrial Materials Questionnaire. For data analysis, the pre-test, post-test and covariance methods were used.Results : The results of variance analysis showed that there was a significant decrease in the amount of drug abuse temptation in the test group and there was no change in the control group.Conclusion : It can be concluded that group therapy based on acceptance and commitment has had a positive and significant effect on reducing the temptation of TC patients
