Surface runoff control is one of the important methods for preventing urban flooding. The runoff is the result of the heavy rain in an area that has inappropriate vegetation and dense soil. That is why this article has used the method of low impact development best management practice (LID BMPs) in order to reduce surface runoff. The area of study has been modeled using the SWMM, ArcGIS, and Google Earth software. Also, two types of LID controls, Green roof, and infiltration trench Were applied in the study area. The results of this article have demonstrated that there is a significant decrease in the amount of discharge rate of the surface runoff, which is using the LID control mode, compared to the case without LID control mode. It can be concluded that can be effectively controlled by using two concurrent strategies for surface runoff management and this is the best management solution for the case study.
