Abstract:
Background and Aim : This study aimed to The Effectiveness of Mindfulness Training (MT) on Rumination, Anxiety and Quality of life in Mothers of Children with Nephrotic Syndrome.Methods : In this semi-experimental study, pre-test and post-test, 52 mothers of children with Nephrotic Syndrome referred to Children Medical Center who were selected, randomly. The MT group was received 8 session of Mindfulness skills. While the control group did not receive any interventions. To collect data, Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI), ruminative response scale (RRS) and sf-36.Results : After the intervention, the mean scores of anxiety and rumination in the MT group were significantly lower than the control group. In addition, the mean scores of quality of life in the MT group were significantly higher than the control group (P < 0.001).Conclusion : These findings suggest that Mindfulness Training is an effective intervention in reducing anxiety and rumination and promoting quality of life for Mothers of Children with Nephrotic Syndrome.
