In this study, transitional SST model is calibrated to predict the characteristics of different internal flow regimes. The calibration is imposed by determination of ranges for two specific coefficients of the model. Taking the coefficients from the ranges is led to good predictions for the internal flows. In the present paper, two common test cases, including a pipe and two parallel plates flows with length to hydraulic diameter (L/Dh) ratios of 100 and 200, are chosen to evaluate the performance of the model with new coefficients, respectively. The Re number varies from 1.4×103 to 2×105, to cover all flow regimes. Finally, the results of the fully developed friction factors compared against theoretical data and excellent agreement obtained. The maximum error percentages for laminar to turbulent transition inside a pipe flow, obtained 8.7 and 3%, respectively. Similarly, the maximum error for the turbulent flow between two parallel plates was 13%.
