چکیده Paper:

Introduction: Dyslipidemia refers to a disorder that is generally caused by disruptions in lipoprotein metabolism and ultimately will result in abnormal amounts of lipids in the blood. Elevated or decreased levels of these lipids, which are referred to as Hyperlipidemia and Hypolipidemia respectively, are believed to be related to many cardio-metabolic diseases such as diabetes and various cardiovascular conditions.Materials & Methods: we have reviewd the papers that publisherd between 2012-2019 with these keywords: Microbiota, dyslipidemia, inherited disorders, metabolic disease, microbiome, metabolomeResults: In regard to the causes of dyslipidemia, it can be either caused by genetics or individuals lifestyles. population studies of genetic association identified more than one hundred genes that could directly affect lipid levels. Hence, it is estimated that at least 40% of cases are caused due to genetic factors.Furthermore, there are other factors that are likely to influence lipid metabolism such as gut microbiome. In fact, recent studies have shown that microbiota could have a significant role in our health through maintaining balance in metabolic pathways including lipoprotein metabolism. Regarding genetically metabolic disorders like many dyslipidemia cases, some researches indicate that the relation between gut microbiota and expression of certain genes could actually come useful in finding a new treatment. This could be achieved through the consumption of probiotic products or diet-based therapies, which are considered as some of the safest ways to treat patients with. Conclusion & discussion: In this presentation, we try to introduce novel microbiome-based approaches to help with the treatment of dyslipidemia which is an inherited metabolic disorder. Consuming probiotics, diet-based therapies and Fecal Microbiome Transfer (FMT) are some of the modern approaches in this way. Therefore, it could be better to pay more attention to them instead of immediately treating patients with conventional methods that could result in several side effects.
