Research and Development Framwork in Cybersecurity

Cyberspace has provided various opportunities in the economic, social, and political areas. For the maximum usage of these opportunities, safeguarding the security of the cyberspace is essential. Therefore, research and development in cybersecurity has been considered by all authorities and governments. Governments determine their research priorities based on the future prospects, the status of their infrastructure and needs. In this paper, research and development priorities in cybersecurity were examined from the perspective of European Union and some countries including the United States, Australia, Malaysia and Singapore. Finally, a research and development framework was proposed in cybersecurity based on these views.
